Cheesecake was alread a popular dish in Ancient Greece (776 BC) before Romans adopted it with the conquest of Greece. The earliest attested mention of a cheesecake is by the Greek physician Aegimus who wrote a book on the art of making cheesecakes.
Variations of cheesecakes emerged after different cheeses has been invented. Different regions, makes different cheeses, thus, produce different cheesecakes.

Siomai in the Philippines is often ground pork, beef, shrimp, among others, combined with extenders like green peas, carrots and the like which is then wrapped in wonton wrappers. It is either steamed or fried resulting in a crispy exterior. It is normally dipped in soy sauce and squeezed calamansi (citrus fruit like limes or calamondin), and for some, with an oily, spicy garlic chili mix.
